Alpsmountainbike is a registred company in France and as been created by Martial HERDEWYN, french bilingual professionnal mountain leader and mountain bike guide.

I passed through the french diplom of "accompagnateur en montagne" (mountain leader: trekking and snowshoe guide and Eco-guide) and the specification of " qualification VTT" (mountain bike qualification) in 1997. This diplom is the top in the world in mountain leading and mountain bike guiding (two years studies). I am also holder of the first aid certification and the "team rescue diplom".

Not only am i a mtb guide but also a nature lover and it's a real pleasure for me to share my passion for flora, fauna, geology, local history and architecture...cause mountain biking is a way discover the place with opened eyes on the area and not biking just for biking.

After 6 years of mtb races, i decided first to create LA VACHE QUI RIDE.COM , trekking, snowshoe and mtb tours company than to create Alpsmountainbike.com, a company dedicated to mtb only.

The goal of Alpsmountainbike is to propose an alternative to the classics mountain biking holidays in Morzine, les Gets and Portes du Soleil on their crowded trails and DH slopes so we includ in our trips nights in mountain refuges and rides in the outlaying spots around Carroz and the mythic Tour of Mont Blanc!!!

The area is full of trails that most foreign mtb holidays providers ignore, and we think it would be missing the real sens of mountain biking to stay a full week on the same place (mountain biking means biking in the mountain no????).

Our fat tire bikes are such fantastic tools to explore the mountain, it would be a mess not to do it!!!

We are specialized in small groups from 2 to 8 persons, no more! Why? Firstly, for the security, secondly for cohesion and third for user friendlyness in the team. We always ride with talkie-walkie (should we say talkie-bikie), one for the guide and one for the last of the group: Security first...

Our force is to be local people, born in the area, living here all year long, biking 6 month per year since 15 years, never stop exploring the thousands of trails the Mont Blanc region offers...
